Hi there!

We are happy to show you today three new models of KUAAMU - Kuzhebar Synergies.

This KUAAMU-pendant has a symbol of Ancient Kuzhebar on.
And what is actually Ancient Kuzhebar?
Old Siberian tales say that long time ago near the Sayan-mountains there existed a civilisation which was the birth place of the present South Siberian ethnic groups. This early civilisation got the name "Ancient Kuzhebar", because the first artefacts were found in the Siberian village Nizhny Kuzhebar (Krassnoyarsk region).

What about the name Kuzhebar, so one of the tales says, that the name comes from the word "kuzhebor" ("bor" means forest in Russian), a mythological forest, where protoplants were growing.

The following KUAAMU-pendant looks like an old stone from the prehistoric ages, because Eliza made some special magic with the clay to let it look like that. Of course the beautiful "prehistoric stone" has the "prehistorical carvings" pyroengraved by Julia.

And this KUAAMU-necklace has a special flavor of a flower:)

Hi everybody!

We are glad to present you today some new models of KUAAMU - Kuzhebar Synergies. We hope you'll like it!

This KUAAMU- pendant has a pyrographic symbol of Tupata on. Tupatas were honoured in Ancient Kuzhebar as mystic creatures and the helpers of arch-father and creator of Ancient Kuzhebar - Yagdyn Staroy.

Tupatas are ubiquitous, they are usually shown with two heads looking opposite. According to kuzhebarian tales they have the unique capability to transform themselves and their ambience. Ancient Kuzhebaґ aborigines appreciated these capabilities of Tupata to metamorphose and hallowed larvaes and pupas like heralds of Tupata, because they could change their biological form during their life.

The symbols used for those first two rings, "spiral ways", are symbols for developing.

This KUAAMU-ring is called "looking into the reality tunnel" and represents the belief of inhabitants of Ancient Kuzhebar that the world consists of many reality tunnels like a layered pancake or an onion.

On this beautiful KUAAMU- pendant you can see dethless creatures. According to mythilogy of Ancient Kuzhebar they are able to transform their bodies and look like any creature, independent of their real age.

The pendant of this necklace represents the symbol of Natural life circle. It is presenting the fourth changing and repeating life periods: birth/spring, summer/childhood, autum/manhood and winter/death.

One of the symbols used for those earrings depicts a Tupata creatures (see above).

We are happy to present you three more models today :

The symbol used in this "big" ring (it mesures 1.2" x 1.2" so 3 x 3 cm) it's a pyrogram about the origin of two diffrent genealogy lines in Ancient Kuzhebar.

A 5th pendant with the symbol of Mother Bayandula or Mother Mouse on it, a very kind and mysterious character in mythology of Ancient Kuzebar. Kuzhebarians` tales tell that she could change the way she look like. When she wanted to be unnoticed for the people, she came like a small mouse. But sometimes you could see her like a small old lady... but with the had of a mouse. The symbol of Mother Bayandula is a symbol for being wise, mysterious and kind.

And a necklace in which we used the Ancient Kuzhebar symbol for creation!

All those first models are already sent to Germany, where they will be presented on the art- and handcraft market on the 12th and 13th of September in Berlin. The market is connected with the celebration of the 700 birthday of an old part of the city called "Heiligensee", what means "Holy lake". In case you are near this place, you are welcome to come to celebrate and to see first KUAAMU in real. The market is open from 10 a.m. till 9 p.m.

This bird is playing here with the life of the human it visits (the ball).

An unique pendant! Its length goes from 6" to 16" (15 to 40 cm) and the pendant is 4" long (10 cm). It is actually a kind of a ghost keeper. Of course only for eatable ghosts!
That thing is that in Ancient Kuzhebar people didn't separated ghosts in good and bad ones, but in eatable and not eatable. Kuzhebar people believed, when you eat a ghost you create a symbiosis with it. Through this symbiosis the human beeing and the ghost goes their evolution ways and support each other. More than that there were special musical rituals for eating ghosts by using a special wind musical instrument called "ghost catcher". You can see the video with similar kind of the ghost catcher here (reconstructed, developed and played by Nadishana):

This pendant is made from natural seeds and with an ancient kuzhebarian symbol. The symbol depicts the world picture with upper, middle and underworld and with the life tree, which grows trough all of them.

The symbol of this pendant depicts a balance of fourth elements: earth, water, air and fire.

The big ornament used for this pendant depicts three deathless creatures by creating a new world or reality. It's 6" to 16" long and the pendant measures 2.8" to 4" (7 to 10 cm)

The symbol on this bracelet depicts the face of a deathless creature or godness who takes care about creativity and creative people.

Another necklace with the symbol of life-embryo on it, a symbol for birth and rebirth.

Welcome to KUAAMU - Kuzhebar Synergies!

The project KUAAMU - Kuzhebar Synergies is based on the collaborative work of Eliza Gapenne (Eliz'art, France - http://www.elizart.fr) and Julia Surba (Kuzhebar Design( Siberia - http://pyrography-design.com).

Eliz'art discovered polymer clay in 2006 and since then, her passion for this material and its unlimited creative possibilities grows every day.
She has a special way to use it, mixing it to natural materials and seeds, but also pigments, species... so that she manages to obtain a natural effect to her creations and give them an ethnic style.
Since she met polymer clay, her life took a new direction. She quit her job to dedicate to her passion and creation. Every pieces she makes is completely hand-made and she puts all her energy and sensibility in each of them. Her love of the Nature, her first source of inspiration, influence her work and can be seen in all her creations.

"Through my jewels, I try to reconcile each other with the Nature and make people feel "light" and happy. They are like my attempt to rebuild the link that unifies us Nature, all the more that our speed way of life in modern societies is destroying it more and more day after day...
It's like something we couldn't live without but that we don't realize because we don't have time to even think about it!
Using seeds, old branches, leaves, sand... in other words, every little treasures we can find if we see things with a creative look, we can make very nice things and give to those elements a "new" life... We just have to free our imagination, put aside standard rules, take time to live fully, be sensitive to our environment and also curious of every thing to make experimentations and then discover new creative fields..."

Julia Surba is a siberian artist, whose favourite expression art became pyrography*. Inspired by art of ancient world cultures, Julia has developed her own "background" pyrography technique by which carving in combination with burned pictures build expressive relief patterns in Tribal Art style.

Last time Julia scrutinizes the almost forgotten small culture of Ancient Kuzhebar (Siberia), that is why her objects often represent the unique world-picture of aboriginal inhabitants of this culture. She tries to keep its knowledge, live and develop it.

Julia Surba is a member of the International Association of Pyrographic Artists (IAPA).
In 2005 she established the "Kuzhebar-Design" studio, which is specialized in pyrography-design, design for music instruments, developing of logos and CD-covers, fashion and amulets.

*Pyrography or art of fire (from Greek pyros = fire) or Wood Burning Art is the art of burning an image onto a surface: wood or leather. It was popular in many ancient cultures of Australia, Afrika, Amerika and in Ancient Kuzhebar .

The idea of the project of Eliza and Julia KUAAMU - Kuzhebar Synergies is to bring together ancient signs, natural elements and modern materials like an example of the way, how the ancient and modern forms can be kept balanced, complete and support each other instead of destroying each other.

We see that nowadays, people often feel disconnected from the Nature and their roots. Too much new information comes each day, too many things they have to manage at the same time, no time for rest, no time to stop and look around, no time to see the beauty of the Nature, no time to think about the life they live, no time to enjoy it...

In ancient times, life looked different. Not so comfortable on one hand, but closer to the Nature and in harmony with the body and the mind on other hand. Ancient people knew how to speak with flowers and the wind, they understood how to respect the elements and they could "read" natural signs around them.

Today, new technologies come into our life, changing it completely, putting us on the big distance from each other and from ancient natural life style. All that push us to create the project KUAAMU - Kuzhebar Synergies, which is our try to create a bridge between past and future, natural life style and high speed life in urban cities.

Each object we make has a message, because the ancient kuzhebarian symbols are involved into them, what let them be called "Kuaamu".
Kuaamu are actually a special kind of save objects which were used in the culture of Ancient Kuzhebar (South Siberia). At first sight, they can seem like jewellery but they are not. There was no idea in Ancient Kuzhebar to beautiful oneself because people thought they were primordial beautiful. By the way, they were very practical and it would be a nonsense for them to have some baubles on without any magic intention!

We also use in our works natural elements, such as seeds, wood, pigments etc. which are combined with polymer clay, material that allows to create almost everything we want (there's no limit to imagination with this material, except those we impose to ourself).

We put all our passion and love into each piece we create together. Each Kuaamu is unique and has its own purpose.
We hope you'll enjoy the results of our collaboration and Kuaamu will bring more joy and harmony in you life, just stop, look at them and read the message they have.
